Meal prepping for the week (or half the week at a time) is something I suggest to many of my clients to help them stay on track and meet their health and nutrition goals. But, for some, meal prep can be a daunting task. I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be! Let me help you overcome some common challenges when it comes to preparing your meals in advance for the week (aka meal prepping):
Accept the fact that hunger is a natural process.
Whether it was from a fantastic dinner last night or this morning’s breakfast, where you felt a little too full, you can expect that you will eventually get hungry again!
Do you have everything you need to meal prep?
When looking at your schedule, make sure that you plan to shop for all the groceries you need to get it done. Making a grocery list comes in handy, so you can plan to make one trip to the store and be prepared with everything you’ll need.
Ditch the perfectionism.
Small steps toward meal prep still win! Preparing your proteins or chopping vegetables for the week will help you stay on track and minimize overwhelm when preparing meals.
